2024 September News

Last Wednesday two of our marvellous members toiled away for hours pruning the hedges surrounding the Club. They also tidied the other bushes that were blocking the walk way, and then transporting all the garden waste to the tip!

Thanks very much to both of the members for their great help in keeping our Club garden tidy !

The club library has been moved from the foot of the stairs to the cloakroom, giving much improved access to the stairs. A new large notice board is in its place at the foot of the stairs.

Notice to Members

As many members of the Club have to restrict their intake of alcohol due to driving or health issues, we have extended our range of nonalcoholic drinks. As you maybe aware we’ve stocked Heineken 0% for years but have now added Gordon’s Gin 0% and also Guinness 0% to our range.

Club Decoration

The walls behind the seating, and some pillars, have been painted, after removing several notices put on with Blue Tac. Now the walls have been painted PLEASE DO NOT PUT FURTHER NOTICES ON THE WALLS WITH BLUE TAC.

We will shortly be adding additional notice board space!

2024 June News

New illuminated sign

The sign above the clubs entrance has been replaced by committee members with a new illuminated sign. Many years ago the club did previously have an illuminated sign there but it was covered up. All the electrical fittings have been replaced behind the sign.

The sign was fabricated by Mike our barman whose company amongst other things specialises in printing and signs. The cost of the sign was paid for by Greene King.

ROOF REPAIR

A small leak has appeared in the Boiler cupboard ceiling following the recent heavy rainfall. Although there is no visible sign of a leak on the flat roof above, all the felt seals have been re sealed in heavy duty roof bitumen.

will necessitate that the details and password will change, please check the notices displayed in the Club and follow the instructions to reset the password etc.
