Many Congratulations to our past Iveagh Club Chairman
Joyce Lambert Giller
on being awarded the MBE by the King in the New Years Honours list for her services to Essex and Westcliff.
It’s a very well deserved award for someone who’s done so much
to improve the city of Southend, rescuing old buildings such as the Royal Hotel, being a trustee of many charities and so much more.

We congratulate Gill Lee another Club member who was awarded the BEM for services to Parliament, having run the parliamentary office of Sir David Amess and Anna Firth.
The Iveagh Conservative Club
We have much to entertain you in a cordial atmosphere and have
a varied programme of events with live musical entertainment at least
once a month, frequent fish and chip suppers and the occasional
quiz night and bingo sessions. We have regular Darts, Cards and dominos nights also including Kalooki.
Club opening hours: Monday to Friday 3.00-11.30pm
Saturday and Sunday opening hours 1.00-midnight but Sundays Closing time can be earlier, it’s up to the discretion of the Bar Manager.
As from January 1st 2025 members should renew their club membership paperless over the bar, paying by bank transfer, card, cash or if necessary by cheque, supplying their membership card number.
Only new members, or those with a change of name or address, are now required to fill in a form.

The club library has been moved from the foot of the stairs to the cloakroom, giving much improved access to the stairs. A new large notice board is in its place at the foot of the stairs.

As many members of the Club have to restrict their intake of alcohol due to driving or health issues, we have extended our range of nonalcoholic drinks. As you maybe aware we’ve stocked Heineken 0% for years but have now added Gordon’s Gin 0% and also Guinness 0% to our range.
DON’T FORGET TO BOOK FOR THE WONDERFUL BURNS NIGHT DINNER. THIS SATURDAY 25TH JANUARY £10 DEPOSIT OR PLEASE PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OF £30.00. PLEASE WEAR SOMETHING TARTAN IF POSSIBLE OR EVEN A KILT!!! IF YOU ARE BRAVE!!!
Saturday 25th January It’s BURNS NIGHT with Yogi and Georgina. The meal will be served at 7.30pm. . The cost is £30 but please book behind the bar paying £10 deposit. There will be a Quiz and a Raffle.

The Iveagh Club held a very successful Christmas Dinner on Wednesday 11th December. Many thanks to our Chef Mark, and his little helper DJ Mike.
All advertised events will contain fundraising for future entertainment, such as Stand Up Bingo or Bus Stops etc.
On Friday we had a thank you/ retirement party for our esteemed retiring Chairman
Joyce Lambert. It was a wonderful occasion with Anna Firth our President and many friends in attendance. A wonderful time was had by all! Thank you so much Joyce! We all hope to see you again very soon!
